Mary's News
April 2008
In my endeavor to continue to improve my horses, I have added a stallion
that will complement my mares.
Telusives Touch is a World Champion son of Touchdown Kid and out of one
of Rita Crundwell's best mares, World Champion Sheza Telusive Kid.
Telusives Touch is 16.1 hands, liver chestnut, with a beautiful head and
neck and lots of muscle. He is hypp n/n and a elegant and powerful colt.
I am excited to breed my mares to him in 2008 and I know that he will be a
asset to my program. Thank you Rita!
I will be accepting a few mare to him at private treaty. Call me for the
details.

Great News

Rainbo foaled a beautiful filly that I have photos of on the broodmare page. She
has a beautiful head, one of the longest necks that I have seen in awhile and
looooooong legs! I am excited about her.
We went to Vicki and Mark Livasy's a few weeks ago for a visit. They had a
knockout paint filly out of DC and were waiting for one out of Hottie. Their
facility is to die for. everything is laid out so nice, and her house is beautiful just
like I knew it would be. They took us out to see their son who is a musician that
evening and both Ken and I were very impressed. He is very talented. It was nice
to sit in a bar and listen to music and not have your eyes and throat burn. Illinois
doesn't allow smoking in public places anymore and I loved it. (Wish Wisconsin
would get on the band wagon).
Twister left last weekend and is safe at the quarantine farm in Kentucky for the
next two weeks and then he leaves for Australia.
Ted and Helen are so nice to work with. I wish them lots of success with Sir Cool
Mister(Twister).

One more month and we will have new babies. I am getting very excited
to see the Mr Touchdown Kid foals. Martha is getting big and Rainbo is
huge. We await the shipment of Twister the last week of the month.
Twister has officially got a name, it's Sir Cool Mister. Ted and Helen
called the other day with the news. Ted picked the name and I think it
sounds really good.
The ground hog who is our Spring predictor, pronounced on February
second that we are to have a early spring. Our hopes are up!.
Vicki Livasy called this weekend to tell me that Jamaican Hottie,
Twister and Martha's brother, has had a DNA test for color and that he
is homozygous for black. She tells me that means he can not throw a
red foal. No wonder we got a buckskin by him with his first foal. GREAT
NEWS Vicki!!!
Hope all of you remember to get your sweeties a Valentine.
Happy Valentines Day.

Here we are in another year and what a start to the New Year.
Tons of snow, followed by a spring like thaw with terrible fog and tornados. We were
very fortunate to have missed the bullet with the tornados, which hit a community not
far from us. Houses demolished and lives torn up, Luckily no deaths.
Unfortunately, there was a 50 car pileup here in the fog near Madison, where lives were
lost. A very sad start to the New Year for those involved. Are hearts go out to them.
As my mom always says, Nothings so bad that a little good doesn't come out of it.
We had a snow storm that left our area looking like a winter wonderland.
I took some photos and will include them this month.
The horses are fat and sassy and they enjoyed the break in the winter when the
temperature got up in the 60's
Christmas was wonderful, and although we all enjoyed it, it is time to put it away for
another year.
Hope your holidays went well also

Spring is finally here!!.
We have two beautiful foals by Mr Touchdown Kid. A filly out of Rainbo
and a colt out of Cool Martha. There are new photos of Rainbo's filly on
the broodmare page. She is really getting nice. Rainbo is bred back to
Telusives Touch and I look forward to seeing his first foals in 2009.
It is with heavy heart that I anounce the sale of Cool Martha, but I am
happy to say that she will be going to Australia to join her brother Sir
Cool Mister. Congratulations Ted and Helen this is one of the best mares
that I have raised! She will leave in foal to Telusives Touch so he will be
represented in Australia also.
We have one mare to foal yet, Jamaica is due the end of the month to
Sir Cool Skip.

Hot, humid, Wow what mosquitos!
The foals are growing well, Jamaica's foal is getting such a hip.
Lots of definition and cut.
We will be weaning our first foal later this week when the heat wave
subsides. I hate to wean when it's so hot. Rainbo's filly is ready to
wean, when you look in the stall it's like seeing two adult horses she
has gotten so big.
We have a new member of our family. Ken's son, Kyle, has come to live
with us. He is 16, blond haired with blue eyes and and so cute, he's
such a nice young man, . I'm sure we will be seeing lots of young ladies
around here now.

Water, Water Everywhere!!!
We have been deluged with water. After the snowiest winter that I can
remember, now we have had record setting rainfall. The creek that
flows threw my property is now a river. I can't wait for the mosquito
hatch. Whew, they will be whoppers.
Jamaica foaled a beautiful colt by Sir Cool Skip, that looks a lot like
Hottie did as a baby. Pretty head and lots of muscle. That mare sure
has been good to me. Photo below and more on Sale page
My dog grooming business is going great. I have been very busy.
Ken took Reserve with another kind of horse. He showed one of his
Harley Davidson motorcycles last weekend between downpours. It's a
1947 Flathead and he is so proud of it. We spent hours polishing it and
it looked great. Congratulations Ken!
